2 New Beers in the Primary!
I am trying my first split batch this week! I took a pale ale recipe based on a Mirror Pond Clone and brewed up a 10 gallon batch. I am going to dry hop 5 gallons with lots and lots of cascade, and the other 5 I am going to rack on top of lots and lots of blackberries! The beer is fermenting great! In about a week I will move them into the secondaries! Updates to come!

IPA is in the keg!
I transferred the IPA into the keg last night. It was really clear, and had an amazing taste. I will let it sit in the keg for a few days while it carbonates, but I may not be able to resist tasting several samples.

NYPA Pale Ale
Just brewed up a pale ale last night. I created this recipe using the Brew Pal software for the ITouch. I hit an OG of 1.054 and am targeting a 6% ABV.

Bottling today!
The Red Hawk Ale is done fermenting and is ready for the bottles. I have only been kegging beer for the past few years, so it will be a fun change to present this beer in bottles. This Red Hawk in my 3rd all grain batch. Every round gets easier. I will let you know how it comes out in about 10 days!

The Beer Garage!
I have been brewing on and off for about 10 years and have decided to push my hobby further! In this blog I hope to capture the adventure of home brewing great beer in my garage on equipment that I build, borrow, and, well, you get the idea.
